California shows us how to organize fire aid bill, defeat Trump agenda
California has a solid plan for upending Trump's noxious attempt to make a fire aid bill conditional on California passing voter ID. Republicans only have a two-seat advantage in the House. So, target eight CA Republican House members and get at least two to support a clean Fire Aid bill for California. This will defeat the Trump agenda.
This is an organized, public campaign to put consistent, steady pressure on them. Be friendly about it. We want those House members to commit to a clean Fire Aid Bill, not alienate them. And hey, lots of CA House members live in districts prone to big fires. They know it could happen to their district too!
The House members being targeted are:
CA-01 Rep. Doug LaMalfa.
CA-03 Rep. Kevin Kiley.
CA-05 Rep. Tom McClintock.
CA-20 Rep. Vince Fong.
CA-22 Rep. David Valadao.
CA-23 Rep. Jay Obernolte.
CA-41 Rep. Ken Calvert
CA-48 Rep. Darrell Issa

Californians deserve immediate disaster relief—no strings attached. Please vote for a clean fire aid bill and don’t hold our/their recovery hostage.
Our/California communities need federal disaster relief NOW, not tied to tax cuts for the rich. Support a clean aid bill for CA.
